Dhanbad News: Dhanbad Villagers Beat Harassment Suspect, Ties Him to Tree

Dhanbad, November 04, 2024: In a disturbing incident in the Kalubathan OP area, a young man named Ramzan Ansari was brutally beaten by villagers after he allegedly harassed a young woman. The villagers tied him to a tree during the assault before police intervened and took him into custody.

The incident reportedly occurred when the young woman went out for a bathroom break. Ramzan Ansari, a resident of Khokhra Pahadi village, allegedly attempted to harass her and reportedly tried to assault her as well. The enraged villagers, upon learning of the incident, apprehended Ansari and subjected him to severe physical punishment by tying him to a tree.

Upon receiving information about the situation, local police rushed to the scene and rescued Ansari from the villagers’ clutches. He was then taken to the police station for further questioning.

The victim, who was visiting her parental home for the Kali Puja festival, filed a written complaint against Ramzan Ansari at the Kalubathan OP. Nitish Kumar Mishra, in charge of the OP, confirmed that a complaint had been lodged and stated that they were conducting an inquiry into the matter. He assured that if found guilty, the accused would face strict legal action.
