Jharkhand News: Police Ambushed While Arresting Molestation Suspect in Ranchi, Two Officers Injured

Ranchi, December 21, 2024: A shocking incident occurred in the Pandra police station area of Jharkhand when a police team, which was attempting to arrest a molestation suspect, came under attack by locals. Two police officers were injured in the assault. Following the attack, a case was registered against the suspect, his wife, mother and brother.

According to reports, the victim had filed a molestation complaint against a man named Jassi Lohiya at the Pandra police station. The victim alleged that the accused had been persistently harassing her. When the police team arrived at the accused’s residence to arrest him, a group of 40-50 people from the locality ambushed the officers. The violent attack resulted in two police officers sustaining injuries. They were immediately taken to the hospital for treatment.
