Jamtara, December 21, 2024: A serious road accident occurred at the Siding More of Dumka Road, located in the district headquarters, when two motorbikes collided head-on. The collision left four individuals, including a child, severely injured. The injured were immediately rushed to the Sadar Hospital by witnesses who were present at the scene.
Accident Details: Two Bikes Collide on Dumka Road
According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred when an Apache bike (Registration No. JH 21 N 0516) was speeding down the curve and collided with a Splendor bike (Registration No. JH 10 D 5309) coming from the opposite direction. The impact was so forceful that the child riding on the Splendor bike was thrown about 30 feet into the air before landing back on the road. The child sustained severe injuries from the fall. The riders of the Apache bike, both young men, were also badly injured.
Eyewitnesses Blame Speeding for the Accident
The scene of the accident was gruesome, with blood stains visible across the area. Eyewitnesses reported that the accident occurred due to the excessive speed of the Apache bike, which caused the riders to lose control and crash into the oncoming Splendor bike. It was stated that the riders of the Apache bike were unable to manage the high speed, leading to the accident.
Injured Victims Transported to Sadar Hospital for Treatment
After the collision, local residents quickly responded and transported the victims to the nearby Sadar Hospital. Both riders of the Apache bike were severely injured, while the child on the Splendor bike was critically hurt. Police arrived at the scene shortly after the incident and moved both bikes off the road. They took the keys of the motorcycles into custody as part of their investigation.

Local police are conducting an investigation into the accident. The exact cause of the crash is still under review, although it appears that speeding was the primary factor. The hospital staff confirmed that the injured individuals are receiving medical treatment, with their conditions being closely monitored.
