Ranchi, September 18, 2025: : The Jharkhand High Court on Wednesday heard petitions seeking a CBI probe into the alleged JSSC CGL paper leak case. The matter was presented before the division bench of Chief Justice and Justice Rajesh Shankar, which scheduled the next hearing for October 15, 2025.
Jharkhand High Court Keeps Stay on JSSC CGL Result Publication
During the hearing, counsels representing successful candidates, the state government, and the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) urged the court to lift the stay imposed on the publication of JSSC CGL results. However, the High Court declined to remove the stay, meaning the CGL result publication remains on hold until further orders.
Court Seeks Updated Report from CID in JSSC CGL Case
The bench directed the CID to submit an up-to-date status report regarding the progress of the investigation in the JSSC CGL exam irregularities. The petitioners had demanded that the probe be handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for a more independent inquiry into the paper leak allegations.
Legal Arguments in the JSSC CGL Hearing
Appearing on behalf of the state government, Advocate General Rajeev Ranjan along with Advocate Piyush Chitresh presented arguments, while Advocate Sanjay Piparwal represented the JSSC. Senior Advocate Gopal Shankar argued on behalf of the successful candidates, and Senior Advocate Ajit Kumar represented the petitioners who had challenged the examination process.
