Chaibasa, September 21, 2025: A diarrhea outbreak in Dubasuri village under Karaikela panchayat in Bandgaon block, Chaibasa district, has claimed the life of a young girl. The incident raised immediate concern among health authorities, prompting swift action to prevent further spread.

Health Department Sets Up Emergency Medical Camp in Chaibasa

Soon after receiving information, a health department team reached Dubasuri village and organized an emergency medical camp. Nearly 60 villagers were given medicines and briefed about preventive measures to control the diarrhea outbreak.

Medical staff advised residents to consume clean drinking water, eat only freshly cooked food, and maintain proper hygiene to reduce the risk of infection.

Door-to-Door Awareness Campaign on Diarrhea Prevention

The health department also initiated a door-to-door awareness drive in Chaibasa’s Dubasuri village. Health workers explained practical steps for diarrhea prevention and early treatment.

The medical team included Arvind Kumar, Anant Nanda, Govind Chand Purti, Sumita Ekka, and Priya Mahato, who actively participated in distributing medicines and spreading awareness.

Officials have appealed to residents to drink safe and clean water, avoid stale or leftover food, and seek immediate medical attention if they notice symptoms of diarrhea.
