Giridih, August 18, 2026: Giridih Deputy Commissioner Ram Niwas Yadav has directed education officials to ensure a transparent and well-organised process for allocating schools to B.Ed and D.El.Ed trainees undertaking school observation and practice teaching.
Yadav reviewed the arrangements at a meeting held at his office on Tuesday, where officials discussed school selection, allocation of institutions to trainees and measures to improve the quality of practical teacher training.
The Deputy Commissioner said exposure to an actual school environment is an essential part of B.Ed and D.El.Ed training. Trainees, he said, should get an opportunity to understand classroom teaching, student behaviour, classroom management and the responsibilities of teachers beyond their theoretical coursework.
Focus on fair and practical school allocation
Yadav instructed officials to consider the number of trainees, availability of schools and the quality of training while allocating institutions. The process, he said, should be transparent and structured so that trainees receive equitable opportunities for practical learning.
He also stressed the need for better coordination between teacher-training institutions and the schools where trainees are placed. Officials were asked to ensure that trainees receive appropriate academic guidance and support during their school-based training.
Regular monitoring of the observation and practice-teaching process was also emphasised so that the objectives of the training programme are achieved effectively.
Education officials attend review meeting
The District Education Officer, District Education Superintendent and other officials from the education department attended the meeting.
Officials presented details related to school allocation and practice teaching before the Deputy Commissioner. Yadav directed them to proceed with the next steps in accordance with the guidelines discussed during the meeting.
