Dhanbad, October 7, 2025: The Regional Deputy Director (RDD) of Health, Dr. S.P. Mishra, conducted an extensive inspection of key healthcare institutions in Dhanbad district on Tuesday. The inspection covered the Dhanbad Sadar Hospital, District Combined Drug Depot, medical warehouse, and vaccination centers, focusing on infrastructure, maintenance, and public service delivery.

Regional Deputy Director Reviews Hospital Cleanliness and Patient Facilities

During the inspection, Dr. Mishra assessed the cleanliness arrangements, medicine storage conditions, and facilities for patients at Dhanbad Sadar Hospital. He also reviewed the vaccination management system, ensuring that proper procedures were being followed in line with health department standards.

Dhanbad Drug Depot and Warehouse Require Maintenance

Highlighting certain shortcomings, the Regional Deputy Director noted that while several facilities were functioning satisfactorily, some areas required improvement. He specifically emphasized the need for renovation and better maintenance of the warehouse, and issued directions to address deficiencies found in the vaccination store.

Dr. Mishra stated that after the inspection, a review meeting with senior officers and the Civil Surgeon’s office will be organized to discuss actionable steps through an improvement committee.
