Ranchi, September 8, 2026: The Ranchi District Advisory Committee under the PC and PNDT framework approved the registration of 13 ultrasound centres and the renewal of registration for three centres during a meeting held on Tuesday.
The committee reviewed applications and representations related to registration and renewal, along with matters concerning ultrasound machines, doctors’ joining and the purchase and shifting of USG machines.
Applications and compliance documents reviewed
The committee examined the applications submitted by ultrasound centres seeking registration and renewal. Following scrutiny, registration for 13 centres and renewal for three centres were approved.
The committee also reviewed the entry of ultrasound machines in Form-B and examined the required certificates before approving the joining of doctors at the concerned institutions.
Officials were directed to ensure that all mandatory information related to doctors’ joining is uploaded on the Garima portal.
Regular inspections of ultrasound centres ordered
The committee also issued directions regarding the regular inspection of ultrasound centres across the district.
Centres are to be inspected at prescribed intervals, with the committee stressing that appropriate action must be taken according to rules if any violations are found.
The directions are aimed at ensuring that registered ultrasound centres comply with the applicable regulatory requirements.
Officials attend review meeting
The meeting was attended by Deputy Development Commissioner Sanjay Kumar Bhagat, trainee IAS officer Astha Sharan, Civil Surgeon Dr Amarendra Prasad, committee members and the PC and PNDT coordinator.
The committee also reviewed matters related to the purchase and shifting of USG machines and instructed officials to ensure that required procedures and documentation are followed.
