Ranchi, September 8, 2026: Students of BIT Mesra, Lalpur, associated with the Wakeup India Foundation, organised Muskaan A Day of Joy at Cheshire Home in Bariatu on Tuesday, spending time with residents through yoga, music, storytelling and recreational activities.
The programme was organised to encourage meaningful interaction with Cheshire Home residents and create an opportunity for volunteers and participants to share time and experiences together.
The National Institute of Yoga, Ranchi, extended special support to the initiative.
Yoga and meditation sessions held
During the programme, Abhradeep Dutta, Mausam and Tarun guided participants through yoga, breathing exercises and meditation.
They also demonstrated simple wellness exercises aimed at supporting physical fitness and providing relief from common body pain and discomfort.
The sessions were designed to make the activities accessible and comfortable for participants.
Music and storytelling bring residents and volunteers together
The programme also featured music, singing, storytelling and various recreational activities.
Volunteers from the Wakeup India Foundation spent time interacting with Cheshire Home residents and joined them in the activities throughout the event.
The interaction created a cheerful atmosphere as students and residents participated together in the sessions.
The programme concluded with a message encouraging people to contribute to the happiness of others and strengthen social connections through meaningful engagement.
