Ranchi, September 08, 2026: Jharkhand Assembly Speaker Ravindra Nath Mahato shared a personal glimpse of his day at the state legislature on Tuesday, posting photographs from his visit to the Assembly with his grandson, Yug Kanchan.

For Mahato, the visit was less about the formal setting of the legislature and more about sharing a memorable moment with the younger generation.

Reflecting on the experience, the Speaker said that spending time with his grandson inside the Jharkhand Assembly premises touched him deeply. He described watching the child observe the legislature with curiosity and innocent happiness as an emotional and joyful experience.

Mahato said moments such as these carry significance beyond the happiness of the present. In his view, time spent with children also creates lasting memories that families can cherish in the years ahead.

He described the photographs as a treasured memory of affection, togetherness and the bond shared across generations.

The Speaker’s post offered a personal, family-oriented glimpse into the Assembly premises, away from the usual political and legislative proceedings.
