Palamu News: ₹80,000 Robbed in 2 Minutes at CSC in Palamu Jharkhand, CCTV Footage Reveals Shocking Incident

Palamu, November 21, 2024: In a daring daylight robbery, three armed robbers on a motorcycle looted ₹80,000 from a Common Service Center (CSC) in Palamu, Jharkhand. The incident, which also involved the theft of a laptop, took place in just 2 minutes. The crime occurred late on Wednesday night in the Pokhrara Khurd area along the Daltonganj-Panki main road, within the jurisdiction of the Sadar police station.

Robbers Strike in Broad Daylight

The robbery was meticulously executed by three individuals, who arrived on a motorcycle. According to Rakesh Mehta, the CSC operator, the robbers appeared around 8:00 PM, a time when the shop was typically closing. With the surrounding shops already shut and the area eerily quiet, the robbers seized the opportunity.

Robbers’ Swift Action Caught on CCTV

The entire robbery was captured on CCTV cameras installed at the center. As per Mehta, one of the robbers stood near the motorcycle, keeping watch, while the other two entered the CSC. Upon entering, they immediately pulled out pistols and threatened the CSC operator, demanding money. The robbers covered their faces with mufflers, making it difficult to identify them clearly.

A Shock to the Victim

In addition to stealing ₹80,000 in cash, the robbers also snatched a laptop belonging to Mehta, before making a swift escape. Mehta described the harrowing incident, stating that the robbers threatened to shoot him if he didn’t comply. The entire robbery was carried out in a matter of two minutes, leaving the operator stunned and unable to react.

Investigation Underway

The police have initiated an investigation based on the CCTV footage, which they hope will provide vital clues to the identity of the robbers. The robbery has raised concerns over the safety of CSC centers, which provide essential services to the public. Local authorities are working to increase security in the area to prevent future incidents.
