Ranchi, November 06, 2024: Guru Nanak Higher Secondary School organized a vibrant celebration marking the 555th Prakash Parv of Guru Nanak Dev Ji with an engaging “Dastar Sajao” quiz and essay competition. The event, which witnessed enthusiastic participation from students in grades 6 to 12, was held to honor the teachings and life of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
The quiz and essay competitions, centered on the theme “Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s Life and Teachings,” were divided into three groups based on age categories. Students demonstrated remarkable knowledge of Sikh history and Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s principles, which emphasize equality, humility, and spirituality.
In the “Dastar Sajao” competition, Group A winners were Ranjeet Singh (1st place), Hardit Singh (2nd place) and Gurjot Singh (3rd place). Group B saw Jasmeet Singh take first place, followed by Harjas Singh in second and Jaskeerat Singh in third. In Group C, the top positions were secured by Karanraj Singh (1st place), Jagjot Singh (2nd place) and Jasmeet (3rd place).
The event was attended by school management and faculty members, including Chairman Sardar Kultar Singh, Vice-Chairman Sardar Karnal Vijay Singh, Secretary Sardar Parmjeet Singh Tinku and others. The presence of Principal Dr. Captain Sumit Kaur, Vice-Principal Sonia Kaur and Headmistress Harpreet Kaur added to the occasion’s significance. The winners were presented with prizes to acknowledge their exceptional efforts.
The smooth execution of the event was ensured by the efforts of staff members including Harpreet Singh, Preetpal Singh, Satvinder Singh, Vipul Sluja and Hanspal, who managed various activities and facilitated the proceedings.
