Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri Leads Inspection in Ranchi
Ranchi, September 04, 2025: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Manjunath Bhajantri carried out a surprise inspection of the Collectorate Building (Block A and Block B) on Saturday. He was accompanied by Sadar Sub-Divisional Officer Utkarsh Kumar, Additional Collector Ramnarayan Singh, Additional District Magistrate (Law & Order) Rajeshwar Nath Alok, along with several other senior officials of the district administration.
Collectorate Offices Under Review
During the inspection, the DC visited multiple government offices, including the District Supply Office, Public Relations Office, Social Welfare Department, Welfare Office, Special Section Office, and the Treasury Office. Remaining offices were inspected by other senior officers.
Strict Instructions on Attendance and Responsibility
The Deputy Commissioner checked attendance registers and biometric records of employees. He issued strict directions to all staff to report to duty on time and discharge their responsibilities with dedication. Emphasizing accountability, DC Bhajantri stated that every government employee must perform their duties sincerely to ensure better service delivery to the public.
Zero Tolerance Against Corruption in Ranchi Administration
The DC made it clear that the administration will follow a zero-tolerance policy against corruption. He warned that if any complaint of corruption is received and proven, immediate action will be taken against the concerned employee. He further instructed officials to listen to public grievances with sensitivity and courtesy.
Commitment to Making Ranchi the Best District
Highlighting the administration’s vision, DC Bhajantri reiterated that Ranchi district administration is committed to making Ranchi one of the best districts in Jharkhand. He urged employees to prioritize efficiency, transparency, and public service in their work.
Action Against Illegal Parking in Collectorate Premises
During the inspection, the DC noticed several vehicles parked in no-parking zones inside the Collectorate campus. He instructed the District Transport Officer to issue challans against the violators. Following his orders, all illegally parked vehicles were fined.
Focus on Cleanliness and Public Facilities
The Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the cleanliness and facilities inside the premises. He directed officials to improve sanitation, parking management, drinking water availability, and seating arrangements for visitors. Stressing the importance of citizen convenience, he said that people visiting the Collectorate should experience a clean and well-maintained environment.
