Chaibasa, August 31, 2026: A total of 104 students from Delhi Public School (DPS), Chakradharpur, participated in the Master Stroke All India Art Competition, giving young artists an opportunity to showcase their creativity on a national platform.
The students explored different themes through their artwork, using colours and illustrations to express ideas around environmental conservation, social issues and children’s imagination. Their participation reflected the school’s emphasis on encouraging students to pursue creative activities alongside academics.
Students use art to express ideas on environment and society
During the competition, the students presented artworks covering a variety of themes. Environmental awareness and social messages featured prominently, while several paintings also reflected the imaginative perspective of children.
The participation of 104 students gave the school a significant presence in the nationwide art competition and encouraged students to engage with art beyond regular classroom activities.
Art helps develop creativity and analytical thinking: Principal
DPS Chakradharpur Principal Ravikant Sharma appreciated the students’ participation and said art education has an important role in a child’s overall development.
He said regular engagement with art can help improve creativity, concentration and analytical thinking, while also giving students a way to express their ideas independently. He added that DPS Chakradharpur students have been showing enthusiasm not only in academics but also in art and cultural activities.
National-level platforms boost students’ confidence
Vice-Principal Rajshree Kumari congratulated all 104 participants and encouraged them to continue developing their artistic skills.
She said competitions of this scale provide students with an opportunity to present their talent before a wider audience and help build confidence through participation and creative expression.
All participating students to receive certificates
The school administration said all 104 students who participated in the competition will be awarded certificates in recognition of their participation.
The initiative is expected to further encourage students to explore art and other creative pursuits while developing skills that complement their academic learning.
