Ramgarh, September 06, 2026: A Sunday afternoon collision between two vehicles on the Ranchi-Patna highway in Chutupalu Valley claimed the life of a woman and left five other people injured, according to the information available.

The deceased was reportedly the maternal aunt of Ramgarh headquarters DSP Akram Raza. The other five people involved in the accident are said to be members of her family.

The force of the collision left several people injured and briefly disrupted traffic on the busy highway.

Injured rushed to hospitals

People present near the accident site alerted the police and began helping those trapped or injured in the vehicles.

The injured were taken to Sadar Hospital, Ramgarh, for treatment. Some of them were also reportedly taken to private hospitals for further medical care.

The condition of the injured was not immediately clear.
