Giridih News: Body Found with Stab Wounds Near Health Center in Giridih, Police Investigation Ongoing

Giridih, November 06, 2024: A body was discovered near the Simaria Daura Health Center on Wednesday morning in Giridih. The deceased has been identified as Chhotu Das, a 33-year-old resident of Hetlapith, located under the Muffassil police station area. Authorities reported that the body showed signs of brutal injuries, with multiple stab wounds on the chest, abdomen and face, likely inflicted by a knife.

The police were promptly notified, and the Muffassil police team arrived at the scene. The body was later sent to Sadar Hospital for post-mortem examination. Early investigations suggest that the victim may have been attacked during a robbery attempt, possibly after he resisted the criminals.

According to Chhotu Das’s brother, Pappu Das, the victim had been visiting his in-laws in the Patrodih village, located under the Bengabad police station. On Monday, Chhotu had dropped off his wife at Hetlapith and headed back to his in-laws’ house for some money. While returning home on Tuesday evening, it is believed he was ambushed by the attackers who may have been attempting to rob him. A violent confrontation seems to have ensued, leading to Chhotu’s tragic murder.

The Muffassil police station has launched a full investigation into the incident. Police officials confirmed that they are following leads and expect to apprehend the perpetrators soon.
