Ranchi, November 06, 2024: In a significant development, police have arrested multiple individuals involved in the murder of Sub-Inspector Anupam, who was stationed with the Special Branch. The arrests were made after extensive investigations and raids in various cities of Jharkhand. The police are currently interrogating the arrested suspects.
The tragic incident occurred on the night of August 2, 2024, when Sub-Inspector Anupam was shot dead near Kanke Ring Road in Ranchi. Initial reports suggest that the murder was carried out by a gang involved in diesel theft. The special team from Ranchi Police conducted raids in several cities, leading to the apprehension of two criminals linked to the murder. However, official confirmation of the arrests is still pending.
According to sources, Sub-Inspector Anupam was returning home alone on his motorcycle when he had an unexpected confrontation with the diesel thieves. During the altercation, Anupam was shot by the criminals. Following the murder, the Ranchi Police have intensified their efforts, conducting raids to arrest additional suspects involved in the crime.
Authorities confirmed that there were several other criminals present at the scene when the murder occurred. The police are now actively working to apprehend all individuals connected to the crime.
