Palamu News: NPU’s Third Convocation in Palamu on October 6, 72 Students to Receive Gold Medals

Medininagar, Palamu, October 04, 2025: Nilamber-Pitamber University (NPU), Medininagar, is set to hold its third convocation ceremony on October 6, 2025. Preparations for the event are in their final stage. The Governor of Jharkhand, Santosh Kumar Gangwar, will be the chief guest. The ceremony will also see the participation of State Higher Education Minister Sudivya Kumar Sonu, Finance Minister Radha Krishna Kishore, Palamu MP V.D. Ram, and Chatra MP Kalicharan Singh.

Gold Medals to 72 Students at NPU Convocation

According to NPU administration, 72 students will be awarded 77 gold medals this year. Each faculty’s top five performers will receive special medals. Out of the total, 53 students have confirmed their attendance, while 1,034 students have registered for their degree certificates. Gold medals will be presented by the Governor of Jharkhand, while distinguished guests will confer degrees to other students.

Convocation Ceremony Schedule

The convocation is scheduled to begin at 11:00 AM. NPU administration has prepared a detailed minute-to-minute schedule to ensure the smooth conduct of the ceremony. Students will receive their certificates in a unique and organized manner, emphasizing the importance of the event.

Special Attire for Students and Faculty

NPU Vice-Chancellor Dinesh Kumar Singh stated that special attire including safa, pagri, and ceremonial garments has been arranged for members of the Senate, Syndicate, Academic Council, department heads, and former members. Distribution of attire will take place at GLA College Education Department building from 10:30 AM to 4:00 PM until Sunday. Participating students will also receive their ceremonial outfits at the same location.
