Chaibasa, August 30, 2026: The winners and runners-up of the 8th Gyan Abhiyan, an inter-school General Knowledge and Drawing Competition organised by Giants Group of Chaibasa, were honoured at an award ceremony held at the local Pillai Hall on Sunday.
The competition was organised by the Giants Group of Chaibasa and sponsored by Satyam Builders, Infrastructure and Developers, Chaibasa. Students from schools in Chaibasa and nearby areas participated in the event and showcased their knowledge, creativity and competitive spirit.
The award ceremony was attended by Pankaj Dubey, a former student of Chaibasa and a Mumbai-based author, filmmaker and storyteller, as the chief guest. He presented certificates and medals to the winners and runners-up.
Pankaj Dubey Encourages Students to Believe in Their Ideas
Addressing the students, Pankaj Dubey said competitions of this kind should be organised regularly as they help develop knowledge, creative thinking, confidence and a healthy competitive spirit among students.
He said activities such as debates and public speaking provide students with opportunities to practise expressing their thoughts in a clear and effective manner. According to him, confidence plays an important role in presenting ideas before others.
Dubey encouraged students to focus on self-improvement and work honestly on ideas they believe in. He urged them to move forward fearlessly with their creativity and imagination.
Hundreds of Students Showcase Talent
Giants Group of Chaibasa president Satyendra Kumar said hundreds of students from Chaibasa and neighbouring schools participated in the competition.
He appreciated the students for demonstrating their knowledge, creativity and talent through the different activities organised as part of the Gyan Abhiyan.
Initiative Aims to Build Knowledge and Confidence
Gyan Abhiyan coordinator Deepak Sharma said the initiative is designed to encourage students to develop knowledge, creative thinking, confidence and a healthy competitive spirit.
He described Gyan Abhiyan as a continuing initiative of the Giants Group aimed at providing students with a platform to showcase their knowledge, talent and creativity.
Members and office-bearers of the Giants Group of Chaibasa played an important role in organising the competition and award ceremony.
