Bokaro, September 25, 2025: In a major initiative under the Namami Gange Mission, a special cleanliness drive was conducted in Bokaro on Thursday as part of the “Swachhata Hi Seva” program. The campaign, chaired by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ajay Nath Jha, extended from the district headquarters to all government offices across the city.
DC Administers Cleanliness Oath: One Hour Weekly Pledge
During the program, DC Ajay Nath Jha administered a pledge to all officials and employees, committing them to devote at least one hour every week to cleaning their workplaces and surrounding areas. Speaking at the event, the DC said, “If each of us dedicates just one hour a week for cleanliness, not only Bokaro but the entire country can become clean and healthy. A clean environment is essential for a healthy life.”
Call for Collective Participation in Swachhata Campaign
DC Jha appealed to students, farmers, laborers, industrial units, and every citizen to actively participate in the cleanliness drive. He emphasized that collective efforts would provide new momentum to the Swachh Bharat Mission and further strengthen the Namami Gange initiative.
