Giridih News: Elderly Man Dies After Being Struck by Train While Defecating Near Tracks in Giridih

Giridih, November 07, 2024: A tragic incident occurred in Giridih district’s Rajdhanwar area, where an elderly man lost his life after being run over by a train. The deceased has been identified as Dinesh, a local resident. According to reports, Dinesh was defecating near the railway tracks when the accident took place. The police have arrived at the scene, seized the body and initiated further investigation.

The unfortunate event took place near Kubri village, within the jurisdiction of the Ghorthamba OP area, where Dinesh was reportedly defecating along the Koderma-Giridih railway line. In a tragic turn of events, he was hit by an oncoming train.

Police Efforts to Assist the Victim and Ongoing Investigation

The ASI of Ghorthamba OP, Rajnish Kumar and Ramakant Singh, who arrived at the scene, rushed Dinesh to the hospital. However, by the time they reached the hospital, Dinesh was declared dead. The police have registered a UD (Unnatural Death) case and are conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
