Hazaribagh, November 05, 2024: In a rally addressing supporters on Tuesday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath delivered a pointed critique of stone-pelting incidents in Kashmir, emphasizing his hardline stance on law and order ahead of the Jharkhand elections. Speaking in support of BJP candidate Roshan Lal Chaudhary in Badkagaon, Yogi Adityanath addressed the gathered crowd with comments aimed at uniting communities while denouncing opposition parties.
Yogi Adityanath stated, “Stone-pelters have joined the ‘Ram Naam Satya’ procession,” an evocative reference suggesting that law and order would be strictly enforced under a BJP government. He went on to warn that Jharkhand’s changing demographics could threaten cultural and social norms, hinting that traditions such as temple prayers might face challenges in the future.
Appeal for Unity and Criticism of Opposition
Calling for unity across communities, Yogi Adityanath encouraged voters to look beyond caste divides, which he argued weaken collective strength during times of crisis. He expressed disapproval of the Congress, RJD and JMM, citing their influence as detrimental to Jharkhand’s growth. According to Yogi Adityanath, the Congress had only “delivered wounds” to the nation, a sentiment he connected to the state’s current issues under JMM leadership.
Law and Order Concerns under JMM Governance
Highlighting incidents of stone-pelting during religious festivals and alleged unsafe conditions for women, Yogi Adityanath criticized the JMM government’s approach to law and order. He claimed that mafia and illegal immigrants, including alleged Bangladeshi and Rohingya individuals, had become pervasive under current policies. “Under BJP rule, these incidents wouldn’t happen,” he stated, positioning his party as the guardians of cultural and social security.
In line with his statements in Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath emphasized that “injustice and oppression lead not to paradise but to hell.” His message encouraged citizens to “show their strength” by supporting BJP candidates, asserting that lawbreakers, particularly stone-pelters, would face serious consequences under a BJP-led administration.
The rally marked a key moment in BJP’s campaign in Jharkhand, as Yogi Adityanath’s remarks resonated with concerns about safety, cultural preservation and unity among communities. His statements were a strategic move to solidify support by addressing voters’ anxieties around security and demographic shifts in the region.
