Ranchi, September 05, 2026: The Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FJCCI) will hold its election for the 2026-27 session on September 13, with 4,214 eligible voters set to participate in the selection of the federation’s new executive committee and regional vice-presidents.

Voting will take place from 9 am to 5 pm at Marwari Bhawan on Harmu Road in Ranchi.

The election committee shared details of the arrangements during a press conference at Chamber Bhawan on Saturday.

21 executive members and six regional vice-presidents to be elected

Election committee co-chairperson Pawan Sharma said voters will elect 21 executive committee members as well as regional vice-presidents representing the federation’s six divisions.

The federation currently has 81 affiliated organisations.

The division-wise voter figures are:

  • Kolhan – 115
  • Koylanchal – 149
  • North Chotanagpur – 97
  • Palamu – 100
  • Santhal Pargana – 68
  • South Chotanagpur – 59

Sharma said only members whose 2026-27 membership fee is fully paid will be eligible to participate in the election.

Help desk and computerised voting arrangements

A help desk will be available at the polling venue to assist members with membership fee payments before voting.

To make the process easier, voter serial numbers and counter details generated through the computerised system will be sent to members by SMS before polling day.

Voters will receive a voting slip along with a food coupon. The polling area will have 40 computers, while the voting software has been configured to prevent a voter from selecting fewer or more than the prescribed 21 candidates.

Candidates’ names and photographs will appear on the computer screens during voting.

After casting their votes, members will have access to a meal arrangement at Digambar Jain Bhawan.

The election committee has also appealed to members to use two-wheelers or public transport wherever possible to help keep traffic movement smooth around the polling venue.

62nd annual general meeting on September 12

Election committee chairman Anchal Kinger said the federation represents traders, entrepreneurs and professionals across Jharkhand and claimed that around 10 lakh traders and businesspersons are directly or indirectly associated with it.

He said there is considerable interest within the business community ahead of the election and that the committee is committed to conducting the process in a fair, transparent and cordial environment.

The federation’s 62nd Annual General Meeting will be held at Chamber Bhawan on September 12, a day before polling.

The election for the new executive committee and regional vice-presidents will follow on September 13 at Marwari Bhawan.

Election committee member Lalit Kedia also briefed the media about the voting process and preparations. Chamber president Aditya Malhotra and other office-bearers were present at the press conference.
