Palamu, September 05, 2026: As many as 190 teachers from across Jharkhand were honoured for their contribution to education at a state-level ceremony held in Ranchi on Saturday, with 12 teachers from Palamu district among the recipients.
The ‘State Teacher Contribution Honour 2026’ ceremony was organised by the Jharkhand Council of Educational Research and Training (JCERT) at the auditorium of the Jharkhand Education Project Council (JEPC).
JCERT and JEPC Director Shashiranjan presented the honours along with his team.
Teaching, research and innovation considered for selection
The selection went beyond classroom teaching and recognised teachers for contributions including research, live streaming, book writing, module development and educational innovation.
The selected teachers received a certificate of appreciation, memento and angavastram as part of the honour.

The Palamu teachers recognised at the ceremony included:

The awardees paid tribute to former President and Bharat Ratna Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and expressed gratitude to JCERT for recognising their work.
The state-level recognition comes as part of efforts to acknowledge teachers contributing to education through classroom teaching as well as research, technology, content development and innovative practices.
