Jharkhand News: Congress to Let High Command Decide Jharkhand Legislative Party Leader, Pledges Unconditional Support to Hemant Soren Government

Ranchi, November 24, 2024: A crucial meeting of the Congress Legislative Party (CLP) took place at the party’s state office in Ranchi on Sunday, where key decisions were made regarding the formation of the state government. The meeting was attended by several prominent Congress leaders, including party in-charge Ghulam Ahmed Mir, state president Keshav Mahato Kamlesh, co-in-charge Bela Prasad, special observers Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Tariq Anwar, Ajay Sharma and all newly elected legislators.

The meeting began with congratulatory remarks to the newly elected members for their victories in the recent elections. Satish Paul, the chairperson of the Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee’s media department, shared that two important resolutions were passed during the meeting.

The first decision authorized the Congress high command to appoint the leader of the Jharkhand Legislative Party. This move aims to ensure a strategic and unified approach to selecting the appropriate leader to guide the legislative proceedings in the state assembly. The second resolution involved the Congress reaffirming its unconditional support for Hemant Soren and his government.
