Jharkhand News: Gangsters Fire at Ramgarh Railway Overbridge Construction Site, Leave Threatening Note Linked to Aman Srivastava

Ramgarh, December 11, 2024: In a shocking turn of events, two armed assailants on a motorcycle opened fire at the construction site of a railway overbridge near Patratu Railway Gate in Ramgarh district. The shooting incident occurred in the evening when the criminals fired two rounds at a Poclain machine involved in the construction work. After the attack, the perpetrators left behind a threatening note bearing the name of gangster Aman Srivastava, warning the contractors about the consequences of continuing work without permission.

Fire at Railway Overbridge Construction Site and Threatening Note Left Behind

The attack took place at the construction site situated on the Bhurkunda-Saunda Basti-Patratu main road, within the jurisdiction of the Patratu Police Station. The ongoing construction project is being carried out by a private contractor. According to eyewitnesses, the two assailants, riding a motorcycle, approached the construction area, shot two rounds at the Poclain machine, and swiftly fled the scene.

In a chilling development, the assailants left behind a pamphlet, which identified gangster Aman Srivastava and warned that the construction work would face severe consequences if it continued without proper authorization. The threatening message further stirred fear in the area.

Police Investigation Underway: Patratu Police and SDPO Visit the Scene

Upon receiving reports of the shooting, the Patratu Police quickly arrived at the scene, followed by SDPO Pawan Kumar, who assessed the situation. The police team recovered a live cartridge and an empty shell from the site, which they believe will help in identifying the culprits. Additionally, authorities interrogated workers present at the site and have initiated a detailed investigation into the matter.

SDPO Pawan Kumar stated that a team had been formed to identify the assailants. The police are utilizing technical resources, including reviewing CCTV footage from nearby areas, to track the route taken by the criminals. Authorities are confident that the culprits will be apprehended soon.

Following the incident, the area around the construction site has witnessed an eerie silence, as workers and locals remain on edge. The police have assured the public that they are actively working to ensure the safety of the area and bring the offenders to justice.
