Jharkhand News: Lord Chitragupt Puja Scheduled for November 3, Central Puja Committee Announces Plans

Ranchi, October 26, 2024: The Jharkhand State Chitragupt Mahaparivar’s Central Puja Committee has officially scheduled the 62nd annual Lord Chitragupt Puja for November 3, 2024. A recent meeting, held under the chairmanship of Dr. Ajit Kumar Sahay at the Bihar Club auditorium, confirmed the arrangements. The event will be marked by grand celebrations, including collective prayers, distribution of prasad and a traditional Maha Aarti.

Key Decisions from the Meeting

The meeting, which took place on Saturday, concluded with several key decisions. Dr. Ajit Kumar Sahay and Rajeev Ranjan Prasad were unanimously selected as coordinators for the 2024 Puja celebrations, continuing their leadership roles. The committee resolved to conduct collective worship of Lord Chitragupt starting at 10:30 AM on November 3. This will be followed by the distribution of prasad to attendees. In keeping with tradition, a grand Maha Aarti is scheduled for 7 PM.

Honor for Departed Members

During the meeting, the committee paid homage to three of its active members who have recently passed away: Late Jyoti Sinha, Late Ashok Kumar Sinha and Late Ujjwal Sahay Bobby. A two-minute silence was observed in their memory, honoring their contributions to the community and the Puja celebrations.
