Jharkhand News: Ranchi’s Renowned Dr. Rajesh Kumar Dies in Hazaribagh Road Accident

Hazaribagh, December 20, 2024: Ranchi’s well-known physician, Dr. Rajesh Kumar, tragically lost his life in a road accident near Singhani Overbridge in the Mufassil police station area of Hazaribagh district. The incident occurred on Thursday evening, leaving the medical fraternity and his patients in shock and mourning.

Accident Details: A Fatal Evening

The accident reportedly took place around 5:30 PM on Thursday when Dr. Rajesh Kumar, 55, was driving his car en route from Ranchi to Patna. According to police sources, his vehicle collided with another near the Singhani Overbridge, resulting in severe injuries.

Upon receiving information about the accident, the police promptly arrived at the scene and rushed the injured doctor to Sheikh Bhikhari Medical College and Hospital. Despite the medical team’s efforts, Dr. Rajesh Kumar succumbed to his injuries during treatment.

Police Statement on the Incident

Mufassil Police Station in-charge, Kunal Kishore, confirmed that the body has been sent for postmortem at Sheikh Bhikhari Medical College. He added that Dr. Rajesh Kumar was a resident of the Dhurwa area in Ranchi. The family of the deceased was informed immediately, and they reached the hospital shortly after.

The news of Dr. Rajesh Kumar’s untimely demise has left the medical community in Hazaribagh and Ranchi in deep sorrow. The Hazaribagh unit of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) was informed about the incident, prompting several doctors to visit the hospital.
