Ranchi, November 14, 2024: BJP state president Babulal Marandi has sharply criticized Chief Minister Hemant Soren over unfulfilled promises to para teachers in Jharkhand. Speaking to the media, Babulal Marandi accused Hemant Soren of misleading the public during election campaigns, particularly regarding the fulfillment of demands for para teachers who passed the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET).
Babulal Marandi pointed out that in his manifesto, Hemant Soren had promised to address these teachers’ concerns and stated that he would use the “power of the pen” to resolve issues.
However, Marandi contended that after Soren assumed power, his promises had failed to materialize. “It seems the ink of your pen has dried,” Marandi remarked, questioning the CM’s commitment to the cause. He further emphasized that para teachers across the state feel betrayed, as they continue to wait for the rights and benefits that were promised to them.
Babulal Marandi also recalled Hemant Soren’s earlier commitment to grant para teachers’ rights within three months of assuming office. Yet, as four years have passed, these promises remain unmet. The BJP leader expressed that this failure to act on his word has eroded public trust, particularly among the para teaching community, who feel let down by the government’s lack of action.
Impact of Unkept Promises on Para Teachers in Jharkhand
Babulal Marandi’s remarks highlight the growing discontent among para teachers in the state, who are increasingly frustrated with the government’s inaction. The issue of para teachers’ rights remains a significant point of political contention, with Hemant Soren’s unfulfilled promises becoming a key talking point in the ongoing political discourse in Jharkhand.
