Latehar News: Minor Student Commits Suicide, Police Investigate Tragic Incident

Latehar, September 19, 2025: A tragic incident occurred late Thursday night near the district headquarters in Latehar, where a minor student allegedly ended his life by hanging. The deceased has been identified as Shivansh Yadav, the 14-year-old son of Musafir Yadav, who was a Class 9 student at PM Central School.

Student Found Hanging in His Room

According to family members, Shivansh was using his mobile phone late at night before going to sleep in his room. On Friday morning, when his parents checked on him, they found him hanging from a noose. The family immediately informed the Sadar Police Station, prompting swift action.

Police Investigate Suicide Case in Latehar

ASI Kuber Kumar from Sadar Police Station arrived at the scene and took custody of the body for further investigation. Police have launched a detailed probe to determine the circumstances that led to the student’s suicide.

Cause of Suicide Being Probed

ASI Kuber Kumar stated that authorities are examining the reasons behind the incident. Shivansh’s family expressed shock and grief, noting that he had appeared completely normal the previous night. Police continue to collect information from the family and school authorities to ascertain any underlying causes.
