Ranchi News: Ranchi DC Varun Ranjan Inspects Dispatch Center in Morahbadi, Ranchi for Upcoming Jharkhand Assembly Elections

Ranchi, November 04, 2024: On Monday, Ranchi’s Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer, Varun Ranjan, conducted an inspection of the dispatch center located in Morhabadi in preparation for the upcoming assembly elections.

The visit was attended by several key officials, including Deputy Development Commissioner Dinesh Kumar Yadav, Sadar Sub-Divisional Officer Utkarsh Kumar, District Welfare Officer, District Transport Officer, Deputy Collector, District Sports Officer, EVM Nodal Officer and District Supply Officer along with other relevant nodal officers.

The first phase of the elections is scheduled for November 13, covering five assembly constituencies: Tamar, Ranchi, Hatia, Kanke and Mandar. The dispatch of election materials for this phase is set for November 12. Meanwhile, the second phase of voting will take place on November 20 in Silli and Khijri, with the distribution of materials planned for November 19, 2024.

Ensuring Timely Arrangements: DC Varun Ranjan’s Directives

During the inspection, DC Varun Ranjan emphasized the importance of timely preparations to ensure that election personnel face no difficulties. He instructed all relevant officers to complete their arrangements promptly, focusing on creating a conducive environment for polling staff.

Varun Ranjan stressed the need for proper seating arrangements, potable water and restroom facilities to be in place before the election day to prevent any issues. He also directed the officials to ensure adequate transportation for polling personnel, highlighting the necessity for smooth logistics throughout the election process.

Additionally, he mentioned the provision of affordable food options for the polling staff through food stalls that would operate on a payment basis. He specifically requested assistance from JSLPS (Jharkhand State Livelihood Promotion Society) to facilitate the establishment of these food stalls, ensuring that personnel receive meals at reasonable prices.

This proactive approach by the Ranchi administration underscores the commitment to a smooth electoral process, reflecting the administration’s focus on operational efficiency and voter facilitation in the forthcoming assembly elections.

As preparations continue, the emphasis remains on collaboration among various departments to ensure the successful conduct of elections, aiming for a seamless experience for both voters and polling personnel.
