Ranchi, October 27, 2024: In preparation for the upcoming Jharkhand Assembly elections, SSP Chandan Sinha conducted a crucial meeting with paramilitary officials on Sunday at the SSP office. The discussion focused on strategies to ensure the peaceful and secure execution of the election process across the district. Key guidelines were issued to enhance security measures, emphasizing coordinated efforts between police and paramilitary forces.
The Ranchi Police have ramped up preparations ahead of the 2024 Assembly elections, actively deploying static surveillance teams (SST) at various strategic checkpoints. These teams are responsible for monitoring vehicles, conducting thorough checks, and preventing any potential security breaches, ensuring a smooth electoral process. The heightened vigilance reflects the administration’s commitment to maintaining law and order during the elections.
The Jharkhand Assembly elections will be held in two phases. The first phase is scheduled for November 13, covering 30 seats across 13 districts. The second phase will take place on November 20, encompassing 36 seats in 16 districts. The election results are set to be announced on November 23, determining the political landscape of the state.
Authorities have reiterated their focus on seamless coordination between various law enforcement agencies to avert any disruptions during the voting process, underscoring the need for a secure and transparent electoral environment.
