Ranchi Hotel Death: Danish Islam Found Hanging in Room 303

Ranchi, January 09, 2025: A 24-year-old man, Danish Islam, was found dead in a hotel room in Ranchi after spending the night with his girlfriend. The incident occurred at the Horaj Hotel, located on Station Road, in the Chutia police station area. The police have launched an investigation into the cause of death.

Girlfriend Discovers Boyfriend Dead in Hotel Room

Danish Islam, originally from Simdega’s Bano area, had been working at a jeans factory in Ranchi for the past few months. He had been in a relationship with a woman from his hometown for the last two years. On December 31, 2024, Danish invited his girlfriend to Ranchi. The couple checked into Room 303 of the Horaj Hotel on January 6, 2025, where they spent the night.

On the morning of January 7, Danish’s girlfriend, who was in the bathroom at the time, came out to find her boyfriend hanging from a ceiling fan. She immediately screamed, alerting the hotel staff. The staff rushed to the room and tried to lower Danish from the fan, but by then, it was too late. He was already dead.

Chutia Police Investigation into Hotel Room Death

The Chutia police were informed about the incident and arrived at the scene shortly after. They took the body into custody and sent it for a post-mortem examination. The police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the death. Danish’s girlfriend has provided a statement to the police, explaining the events leading up to the discovery of the body.

In response to the incident, Danish’s father, Sarwar Sajjad, filed a complaint against the girlfriend, hotel owner and staff. The police are investigating all possible angles, including whether the death was a suicide or foul play.

As part of the investigation, the Chutia police are questioning the hotel staff and examining the circumstances that led to the tragic incident. The hotel, which has been in operation for several years, is now under scrutiny for its security measures and protocols.
