Fatal Road Accident in Chutupalu Valley on Ranchi–Patna NH-33

Ramgarh, October 5, 2025: A tragic accident took place on Sunday morning in Chutupalu Valley along the Ranchi–Patna National Highway (NH-33), when an uncontrolled Hyva truck ran over a motorcyclist and later collided with a Creta car while attempting to flee.

Victim Identified in Chutupalu Valley Road Accident

Police confirmed that the deceased motorcyclist has been identified as Barkeshwar Mahato (40), son of Dhaneshwar Mahato, a resident of Soso Sindwar village. He was traveling on his bike (JH 24 A 3202) to Ramgarh for work when the Hyva (UP 64 BT 6132) crushed him near Saini Hotel in Chutupalu Valley.

Hyva Truck Also Hits Creta Car During Escape

After the collision with the bike, the Hyva driver attempted to speed away but rammed into a Creta car (UP 32 QJ 8984). Local villagers intercepted the truck shortly after the incident. Police reached the scene and seized the vehicle.

Four-Hour Protest and Traffic Jam on NH-33 After Chutupalu Accident

Following the accident, angry villagers and the victim’s family blocked the highway, staging a protest demanding compensation. As a result, NH-33 has been jammed for over four hours, causing massive disruption from the toll plaza to Ramgarh town. Police officials are in discussion with the family to resolve the standoff.

Previous Truck Accident Triggered the Tragedy

According to reports, another truck (JH 02 W 7572) had met with an accident earlier in the morning near Saini Hotel, spilling dust and debris onto the road. While trying to avoid the scattered material, the Hyva driver swerved, lost control, and ran over the biker, triggering the chain of events.
