Dhanbad News: Dhanbad Police Arrest Shooter Linked to Gangster Prince Khan | Dhanbad Crime News

Dhanbad, September 30, 2025: Police vigilance helped avert a major criminal incident in the city after authorities arrested a shooter associated with notorious gangster Prince Khan. According to information received by the Superintendent of Police (SP), the accused was allegedly on his way to Dhanbad through Baliapur with a plan to attack a local businessman.

Police Operation in Dhanbad Foils Criminal Plan

Acting swiftly on the tip-off, a special police team led by DSP (Law and Order) Naushad Alam launched a checking drive in the Damodarpur area. At around 9 PM, police intercepted and apprehended Rabiul Islam alias Mota, a resident of Rajabandh in Saraikela-Kharsawan district. He was caught while riding a motorcycle and taken into custody.

During the search, police recovered a country-made pistol, four live cartridges, and six rounds of .38 bore ammunition from his possession.

Shooter Linked to Prince Khan and Gopi Khan

During interrogation, Rabiul admitted that he worked for Prince Khan and Gopi Khan, both known figures in the organized crime network. He further confessed to his involvement as a motorcycle rider in the October 2024 Shahabuddin Siddiqui murder case.

Police sources confirmed that the accused is also wanted in multiple cases of murder and extortion in Chakradharpur and Badbil areas of Odisha.

Role of Associates in Dhanbad Attack Plot

Rabiul revealed that Ritik Khan had provided him with the motorcycle and pistol to carry out the planned killing of a Dhanbad businessman. This disclosure highlighted the coordinated role of several gang members in the conspiracy.

FIR Registered Against Gang Members

Based on the findings, police registered a case against Prince Khan, Gopi Khan, Ritik Khan, and Rabiul Islam. Officials emphasized that prompt action prevented a possible gang-related shooting incident in the city.

DSP Naushad Alam praised the joint cooperation of West Singhbhum (Chaibasa) Police, whose support was instrumental in ensuring the successful operation.
