Ranchi, August 31, 2026: Five employees of the Ranchi Railway Division retired on August 31 after completing their respective periods of service. A farewell ceremony was organised at the division’s Arohan auditorium to mark their retirement.

The retiring employees were Bimal Krishna Tarfadar, Bhuneshwar Ram, Kalawati Mahto, Prabal Kanti Chakraborty and Vimla Devi. They were handed over their service settlement benefits and necessary documents during the programme.

Additional Divisional Railway Manager (ADRM) Hemraj Meena thanked the employees for their contribution during their years of service and wished them well for the next phase of their lives.

Meena also advised the retirees to remain alert against cybercrime, exercise caution when dealing with suspicious phone calls or messages, and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Assistant Divisional Personnel Officer Chanchal Kumar and Assistant Divisional Finance Manager Vijay Barla also extended their wishes to the retiring employees. They advised them to safeguard their lifetime savings, make investments in a planned manner and pay attention to long-term financial security.

Chanchal Singh, secretary of the All India Railway Retired Federation, Ranchi, also wished the retirees a healthy and fulfilling post-retirement life.

Officials and employees of the Personnel Department, union representatives and family members of the retiring railway employees were present at the ceremony.
