Khunti, September 6, 2026: Members of the Brahm Vidya Vihangam Yog Sant Samaj organised a plantation drive in Khunti on Sunday to mark the birth anniversary of Sant Shri Namdev Ji Maharaj, using the occasion to promote environmental conservation.

The initiative was part of a wider plantation programme organised simultaneously by the Vihangam Yog Sant Samaj across the country. Members planted saplings and highlighted the importance of protecting the environment.

The Khunti programme was attended by District Principal Coordinator Jitendra Kashyap, Co-Coordinator Bhoj Nag, women’s in-charge and adviser Bernadette Tuti, women’s co-in-charge Neera Hassa and deputy head Shanti Devi, among others.

The organisation said the plantation initiative was organised as part of the birth anniversary observance of Sant Namdev Ji Maharaj.

International programme planned in Varanasi

The organisers said Sant Namdev Ji Maharaj serves as the international propagator and principal adviser of Brahm Vidya Vihangam Yog.

They also highlighted the ongoing India tour of Sant Pravar Vigyan Dev Ji Maharaj, who is travelling from Kashmir to Kanyakumari.

According to the organisers, an international programme along with a 25,000-kund Mahayagya is scheduled to be held on December 14 and 15 at Sarved Mahamandir Dham in Umaraha, Varanasi.

A Samarpan Deep programme will also be held during the event. The organisers said the programme will promote messages related to world peace, free Gurukul education, cow service, and respect and welfare for soldiers serving in the country’s defence.
