Palamu, January 03, 2025: A devastating collision on National Highway 75 claimed the life of a truck driver and left seven others severely injured. The accident occurred in the Kasiyadih area under the jurisdiction of the Satbarwa Police Station in Palamu district.

Passenger Bus and Truck Collision Leads to Tragedy

According to eyewitness accounts, the incident involved a JPS passenger bus traveling from Daltonganj to Ranchi and a truck heading in the opposite direction. The collision took place at a sharp curve on the highway, a known accident-prone zone due to its low visibility and challenging terrain.

The truck driver succumbed to his injuries on the spot, while seven passengers aboard the bus sustained critical injuries. The bus driver was trapped inside the mangled vehicle for a significant amount of time before being rescued by authorities.

Emergency Response and Rescue Efforts

Local police, led by Satbarwa Police Station Officer-in-Charge Anchit Kumar, arrived promptly at the scene. Emergency teams worked tirelessly to extricate the injured and transport them to the nearest hospital for immediate medical attention.

“The injured passengers have been admitted to a nearby medical facility for primary treatment. Preparations are underway to transfer those in critical condition to advanced hospitals for specialized care,” said Officer Kumar.
