Palamu News: Palamu Launches Composite Control Room with 113 CCTV Cameras in Medininagar

Palamu, September 29, 2025: In a major step to modernize security and strengthen surveillance, a Composite Control Room (CCR) was inaugurated in Medininagar, Palamu district. The new facility has been set up at the SP Office, Block-B premises, aiming to enhance law enforcement, traffic management, and emergency response in the city.

The control room was officially inaugurated by Daltonganj MLA Alok Kumar Chaurasia in the presence of Palamu Range IG Shailendra Kumar Sinha, Deputy Commissioner Sameera S., Superintendent of Police Reeshma Ramesan, JMM district president Rajendra Sinha, and district secretary Sannu Siddiqui.

113 CCTV Cameras to Monitor Medininagar

The Composite Control Room in Palamu is equipped with 113 advanced CCTV cameras installed at key locations across Medininagar. These cameras will keep close watch over crowded areas, major roads, and sensitive points. Officials confirmed that the system is capable of vehicle number plate recognition and offers 360-degree surveillance, ensuring enhanced monitoring of public spaces.

Integrated with Dial 112 Emergency Services

To boost public safety, the new Palamu Composite Control Room is directly linked with the Dial 112 emergency helpline. This integration will allow authorities to respond quickly to accidents, fire incidents, crimes, and emergencies. Police officials stated that the system will significantly reduce response time and improve coordination during critical situations.

Boost to Crime Control and Traffic Management in Palamu

Authorities believe the CCR will play a vital role in crime prevention, traffic regulation, disaster management, and public safety in Medininagar. By enabling real-time monitoring, the initiative is expected to curb criminal activities, ensure smoother traffic flow, and assist in emergency response operations.
