Ranchi, December 07, 2024: A devastating accident occurred in Ranchi’s Tamar police station area on the Ranchi-Tata highway, claiming the lives of two individuals. The incident happened near Tikar More, where a trailer collided with a stationary truck parked on the highway. The collision was so intense that the trailer’s driver and helper died on the spot.

Details of the Incident

Eyewitnesses reported that a truck was parked in the middle of the highway near Tikar More. A trailer traveling from Tata to Ranchi crashed into the stationary truck from behind, resulting in the front section of the trailer being completely destroyed.

The driver, identified as Taufiq and the helper, Ansar Khan, both residents of Kharoda, Rajasthan, were trapped inside the mangled trailer. Despite extensive efforts, it took heavy machinery, including cranes, to remove the bodies from the wreckage.

Emergency Response and Investigation

Local authorities arrived promptly at the scene. The bodies were extricated from the trailer and sent for post-mortem examination. Police have initiated an investigation into the circumstances of the accident, focusing on why the truck was parked in the middle of the highway without proper safety measures.
