The scholarship will cover the selected students’ school and tuition fees for an entire year. It will also meet the cost of books, notebooks and other study materials required for their education.
The initiative is intended to provide financial support to students who need assistance and give them a better opportunity to continue their studies.
The 16 scholarship recipients are Fauqia, Roshni Minz, Lucy Gop, Afreen Parveen, Saleha Naz, Anita Kerketta, Anjali, Ruby Parveen, Soni Kumari, Sofi Ansari, Minty Minz, Sita Soren, Ruhi Parveen, Sameena Parveen, Rukhsar Khanam and Yungi Hansda.
Social workers Dr Afroz Shakeel and Dr Tahir Hussain, along with Sofi, Tahir Hussain and others, attended the programme.
