Tata Pigments signs seven-year wage pact with monthly benefits up to ₹15,000

Jamshedpur, September 07, 2026: Tata Pigments and its employees’ union have signed a seven-year wage revision agreement that will provide monthly financial benefits ranging from around ₹8,600 to ₹15,000 to employees.

The agreement was signed on Monday at Indradhanush Bhawan on the Tata Pigments premises and will remain effective from April 1, 2024, to March 31, 2031. Both new and existing employee grades have been covered under the settlement.

Around 95 employees are expected to benefit from the agreement. The arrears for the period from April 2024 to August 2026 will be credited to employees’ bank accounts, according to the details of the settlement.

NPS allowance and performance-linked reward included

The agreement provides for an NPS cash allowance of ₹500 for employees. It also introduces a Performance Linked Reward (PLR) scheme under which employees can receive a maximum benefit of ₹550.

The settlement provides for an increase in the PLR amount from April 2027.

One of the key features highlighted by the management and union is a reported 400% increase in the average rate of increment under the grade structure, described as a first in Tata Pigments’ history.

The agreement was signed on behalf of the management by Tata Pigments Managing Director Saroj Kumar Banerjee, Chief Factory Manager Manit Kumar, Plant Head K.M. Maharaja, Chief Financial Officer Dinesh Agarwal, Chief Human Resources Officer Ankita Kevin Natal, Head HR Atul Kumar Sharma, Chief of Marketing and Sales Vijay Patnaik, Harendra Kumar Rai from Finance and Accounts, and HR Officer Vivek Kumar.

Representing the union were President Vinod Kumar Singh, Vice-Presidents Kulbir Singh and Satyanarayan Rao, Joint Secretary Kamlesh Kumar Sharma, Anil Prasad, Treasurer Bhubaneswar Ram and Payal.

The seven-year settlement is expected to provide employees with higher monthly earnings as well as additional benefits linked to performance and retirement savings.
