Ranchi, August 26, 2026: Rail passengers in Jharkhand will face changes to their travel plans from September through November, with six pairs of passenger and MEMU trains in the Chakradharpur railway division scheduled to remain cancelled every Tuesday and Friday due to track and technical maintenance work.
The cancellations will affect 12 train services on two days each week, making alternative travel arrangements necessary for passengers who regularly depend on these services.
The affected trains include the Tatanagar–Bilaspur Express, Tatanagar–Itwari Express, Tatanagar–Rourkela MEMU, Rourkela–Hatia Passenger, Tatanagar–Gua Passenger and Chakradharpur–Rourkela MEMU.

The scheduled cancellations could particularly affect employees, students, traders and other passengers who use these services for regular travel between towns and cities in the region.
Passengers planning journeys on Tuesdays or Fridays during the affected period are advised to check the latest status of their train before leaving for the station.
