Ranchi, August 26, 2026: Congress state representative Raj Kishore Singh has been given a new organisational responsibility in the Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) Federation, where he has been appointed vice-chairman and in-charge for Bihar and Jharkhand.
The appointment was ordered by INTUC Federation national president Swaminath Jaiswal on August 22. Singh’s new role will involve strengthening the federation’s activities in the two states and improving coordination among workers’ organisations.
The responsibility comes in recognition of Singh’s organisational work and his involvement in issues concerning workers, according to the information provided.
Singh welcomed at Congress headquarters
Singh was welcomed at the Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee headquarters in Ranchi on Wednesday following the announcement of his new responsibility.
Congress leaders and workers felicitated him with garlands and congratulated him on the appointment. Those present included Rakesh Sinha, Jagdish Sahu, Suren Ram, Tinku Verma, Ashutosh Nath Pathak, Nelly Nathan and Ramanand Keshari, among others.
Party leaders expressed confidence that Singh would use the new position to strengthen the organisation’s activities across Bihar and Jharkhand and raise issues affecting workers in the two states.
His responsibilities will include coordination with labour organisations and efforts to strengthen the federation’s presence and activities in the region.
