Ranchi, November 06, 2024: Pujya Prakash has been appointed as the Superintendent of Police (SP) for the Jharkhand Criminal Investigation Department (CID), as per orders issued by Jharkhand’s Director General of Police (DGP). The formal directive, backed by the state’s Human Rights Inspector General and approved by the Election Commission of India, fills a significant role within the department.
The decision follows Prakash’s recent transfer from his position as SP in Bokaro, a move attributed to health concerns. Previously on standby for his next post, Prakash’s appointment to the Jharkhand CID reaffirms his continued service in key state security functions.
The Jharkhand CID, responsible for handling critical investigations, is expected to benefit from Prakash’s experience and leadership. His appointment comes as part of the state’s strategic efforts to strengthen law enforcement and enhance investigative capabilities.
