Jamtara News: Deputy Commissioner Expresses Gratitude to Officers and Staff for Successful Jamtara Assembly Elections 2024

Jamtara, November 25, 2024: In a remarkable display of teamwork and dedication, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Jamtara, Kumud Sahay, extended heartfelt gratitude to all officers, employees, and personnel involved in the successful organization of the 2024 Legislative Assembly General Elections. Her acknowledgment highlighted the collective effort and seamless coordination that ensured a peaceful and transparent electoral process.

The Deputy Commissioner praised the senior officers, nodal officers and in-charge officials across all election cells for their significant contributions. Record-Breaking Voter Turnout in Jamtara

Jamtara district achieved a historic feat by securing the highest voter turnout in Jharkhand. The Nala Assembly Constituency reported an impressive 80.56% voter turnout, the highest in the state, while the district as a whole recorded 77.61%, placing Jamtara at the top of the state’s election participation statistics.

The Deputy Commissioner attributed this success to the active participation of voters, expressing deep gratitude to them for their overwhelming response. She acknowledged the efforts of the district’s residents in strengthening the democratic process.

Media and Innovative Voting Initiatives Acknowledged

Recognizing the crucial role of media in election coverage, the DC lauded the contribution of journalists in ensuring transparency and raising awareness among voters. “The media has been a significant partner in this democratic exercise, and their support deserves special appreciation,” she said.

In a bid to ensure inclusive voting, the district introduced innovative initiatives, such as setting up a special polling station for leprosy-affected voters at Snehepur Hansi Pahari Colony in Mihijam. The Community Hall Polling Station No. 362(k) was fully equipped to cater to the needs of these voters, resulting in 100% participation with great enthusiasm.
