Ranchi, November 29, 2024: Mangal Munda, a direct descendant of the revered tribal leader and freedom fighter Birsa Munda, passed away late last night while undergoing treatment at Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) in Ranchi. Mangal Munda demise has deeply saddened the state and brought attention to his legacy and the circumstances leading to his death.

Mangal Munda Road Accident and Hospitalization

Mangal Munda was critically injured in a road accident on November 25, 2024, on the Khunti-Tamar road. Following the accident, he was admitted to RIMS Ranchi on November 26 for intensive medical care. The hospital formed a special team of doctors to oversee his treatment, which included prominent specialists such as Dr. Anand Kumar, Head of Neuro Surgery, Dr. Pradeep Bhattacharya, Head of Critical Care and Dr. Ajay Kumar, Surgeon. Despite their concerted efforts, Mangal Munda succumbed to his injuries at 12:30 AM on November 28, 2024.
