Chaibasa, August 28, 2026: The West Singhbhum District Establishment Committee has approved the posting of 13 employees appointed on compassionate grounds and decided to transfer or repost 16 other employees in the interest of administrative work and smooth functioning of government offices.
The decisions were taken during a meeting of the District Establishment Committee chaired by West Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner Manish Kumar at the district Collectorate on Friday.
Project Director, ITDA, Jaideep Tigga, Establishment Deputy Collector Kumar Harsh and officials from the Establishment Branch attended the meeting.
Five new compassionate appointment applications approved
The committee also scrutinised five new applications for compassionate appointments submitted by dependants of government employees who died while in service.
After examining the applications and relevant records in accordance with the prescribed provisions, the committee approved all five cases for compassionate appointment.
Of the five approved cases, appointment to the post of employee (Anusevi) was recommended for two applicants, while three applicants were recommended for clerical posts.
The decision is intended to provide employment to eligible dependants of deceased government employees in accordance with applicable rules.
DC stresses transparency and timely disposal
During the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Manish Kumar directed officials to strictly follow the prescribed rules and procedures while dealing with establishment-related matters.
He also stressed the need for timely disposal of eligible compassionate appointment cases so that beneficiaries receive the benefits to which they are entitled without unnecessary delay.
Kumar said administrative decisions should be taken with transparency, fairness and sensitivity while ensuring compliance with the applicable rules.
The committee also discussed other establishment-related matters placed before it and issued necessary directions in the interest of administrative functioning.
