Gumla, August 28, 2026: Sant Patrick School’s U-17 girls’ football team from Gumla has brought a national title to Jharkhand after winning the 65th Subroto Mukerjee Cup in Delhi.
The team produced a strong performance in the final, displaying coordination, determination and fighting spirit to claim the championship. The victory marks a major achievement for the young players and their school.
The winning team will receive a total prize of ₹5 lakh, according to the information provided.
The team’s success also recognised the contribution of its coaching staff and goalkeeper. Coach Beena Kerketta will receive a prize of ₹50,000 for her training and guidance, while goalkeeper Khushboo Kumari will also receive ₹50,000 for her performance during the tournament.
