Koderma, August 29, 2026: Special camps were organised in Ganjhdi and other panchayats of Koderma block under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026 to hear cases of voters whose names could not be mapped with the previous electoral roll.
Voters who received notices were asked to appear at the camps with the required documents for verification. Those who attended the hearings submitted their documents for scrutiny as part of the mapping process.
Koderma Deputy Commissioner Utkarsh Gupta inspected the camp and reviewed the arrangements and hearing process. He directed the officials and staff to verify the documents of eligible voters according to the prescribed rules and complete the mapping process accordingly.
Documents verified during the hearing
Electoral Registration Officer-cum-Sub-Divisional Officer Nirmal Soren examined the documents submitted by the voters. Where the documents were found to be in order, the mapping process for the concerned voters was carried out.
Voters were also informed about the SIR-2026 procedure and the documents required for the verification process.
BLO supervisors, Booth Level Officers and other concerned personnel remained present at the camps to assist voters and facilitate the hearing and mapping process.
The special camps are part of the SIR-2026 exercise aimed at completing the required verification and mapping of voters whose details could not be linked with the previous electoral roll.
